Open House Displays

Clubs moderated by Profe Finaldi had displays in the gym for an Open House for prospective families.

Movie Club is JCA's newest club.  Several students came up with the idea last year and had it approved to begin in the spring of 2015.
La Esperanza is for students who want to learn more about the heritage of those from Spanish speaking countries.  It also serves as a network for the families of students from that background
International Student Ambassadors is the group that hosts students from Spain and/or travels to Spain.  It is also open to anyone who wants to help plan or attend some of our events.

Senior Service Day

JCA seniors who chose to help out in an Independent Living Facility had a great day helping to serve and clean up after lunch, assist with exercise classes, do some gardening, and best of all, getting to know some of the residents.
Every year a prom king and queen are selected for a dance, and the gentleman who was voted king wears his crown every day!

iPad Spanish Apps

Students in Profe Finaldi's 3rd period Spanish IIU class used the iPads in class today.
They tried out several apps for Spanish Learning.  After testing out each app, the students rated and commented on them.  Duolingo and CatSpanish were the favorites.
Profe Finaldi hopes some of the students will try these apps at home.
New Assistant Principal of Curriculum & Technology, Laura Pahl, stopped by to observe.
Most students were so engrossed in their games that they didn't even notice!

The students will be happy to use the iPads again MUY PRONTO!
